"For Constraints, I'd recommend looking at some of the specific ones, rather than just a general "getting used to something." That is harder for people to internalize, especially on the first one."

"Ah, yeah, when you have people who aren't really into it, the experience can be a bit tough. One of the reasons that we start early in the morning (830, usually) is to make sure we have a nice self-selecting group of people. :)"

"I've run into this as well. This seemed to happen less when the group was self-selected (i.e. we did it over a weekend) than when we tried with a bigger group during a workday. Not sure why this was. Maybe the fact that you weren't eating…"

Hi, we've held a very informal CodeRetreat inside our company. We held only 3 sessions, to see how it rolls out.
