When I was last organising a public Coderetreat event, the only thing I needed to do was click on a button on this page and add it.
Did this change with the new site? Do I need to have the event reviewed or something?
I have the same problem, I can't see the "Add" button any where.
Yes. I can't see the "Add" button (tried IE, Chrome and FF).
And the direct URL (coderetreat.org/events/event/new) does not work either :(
Apologies for the confusion. The events feature is disabled until we migrate to a static website hosted on Github where you will be able to create a new event via a pull request. In the meantime, if you wish to have your event promoted, please tweet about it, mention @coderetreat and we'll retweet.
Thank you for your understanding!

Is there an launch date for the github site?
what if I don't have a twitter account?
if you wish to have your event promoted, please tweet
on the front page you say:
help us build the new site on GitHub!
I already cloned the repo, what kind of help do you need?
There is no launch date set in stone yet. It will probably be a couple of months before the Global Day of Coderetreat 2017. Until then, the website is available at http://coderetreat.github.io
The tweets are publicly accessible at https://twitter.com/coderetreat even if you don't have a Twitter account.
We have a Github project where we track requirements and work in progress for the new website: https://github.com/orgs/coderetreat/projects/1
Feel free to ask any question, the project notes might not be that detailed. Any other ideas on how to improve the website are welcome!
