The Coderetreat Community Contribution Fund (c3f) (currently operating as a non-profit and being reviewed for 501(c)(3) status) was established with the express goal of funding community-based, education-oriented software development events and programs. Sponsorship and donations to the c3f are used to subsidize local coderetreat events in places without established local support networks.

As we grow, we intend to branch out into supporting other education and community-oriented programs, specifically preferring ones oriented around teaching kids programming. We believe the future will demands a basic literacy in programming, and we want to support this. We will be working with both academic and industry professionals to further this cause.
